— Hello Diego, thanks for taking the time to chat to us. How has 2022 been for you so far? Any highlights?
— It is a pleasure for me to share this talk with you. For me this 2022 has been a year with many ups and downs but it has turned out to be a good year after all, after having spent almost two and a half years in isolation, this year, at least at first, felt like a liberation, we are back to clubs and events and that has felt pretty good. Exponentially.
— Going back to your early raving days, can you tell us when you fell in love with electronic music?
— Well, maybe it's kind of a cliche, but I'm sure that most of us DJs have had the same thing happen to them, from a very young age, influenced by the music that was heard in my house and the one that my brothers used to listen to, from the synth pop from the 80s to new wave, new romantic and similar musical styles, until in the 90s I met house from Chicago and acid house and techno from Detroit.
Your new release "No Control" will be out soon on Codex. What is the story behind the EP and what inspired its creation?
— I always wanted to be part of the Codex family, it is a label that I respect a lot. This ep was a bit influenced by the RAVE uk sound of the 90s and a bit by detroit techno, I decided to make an ep with enough darkness and strength that could fit in Codex, luckily I wasn't wrong. I'm very happy about the ep and now being part of the codex family.
— You're based in Argentina. How can you describe electronic music scene over there?
— The Argentine scene is very wide and rich in artists of all genres, it has grown a lot in recent times, within the techno scene, a large number of parties, events, producers and artists have developed that today consolidate a very important growth.
— Tell us a fun fact about yourself? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
— I am a big fan of collecting books, I love horror novels, especially by Stephen King, I have quite a considerable collection of his books.
— What kind of things are aspiring you at the moment?
— Currently I am inspired by moments, also by the people I get to know and they transmit something to me, also my moods and what happened to me the day before I sat down in the studio to produce.
— Thank you so much for chatting with us today and congrats on your release. To finish off, is there anything else upcoming from yourself that you'd like to share with us?
— Yes, of course, I intend to do a more extensive tour again next year and leave Argentina and visit Europe, I would love to be able to take my music a little further. And above all keep working on what I love to do. Thank you very much for this interview.
